We began this trip, #fredrik&Topsioverland, in the beginning of october last year. In Europe we spent 10 hectic days before reaching the border to Turkey. We had plans in Turkey and a ticking visa expiry for Iran so we hurried through these beautiful countries, which were really a shame. Next time!
On the road in Europe, driving many kilometres per day! We wanted to reach Turkey where our friends were hiking as quick as possible so we drove long hours.Wildcamping in Europe is doable and pleasant. Fascinated with our tent we took plenty of pictures of it!
Not a bad way to wake up.
Wildcamping in Slovenia. We were a bit in doubt if we were on private ground, so we didn’t stay around very long.
Writing in the dirt was the first way of stating our purpose.
This place in Croatia was nice.
The best thing about this beautiful beach was that we needed the four wheel drive to get back up!
Croatia was warm and had a beautiful coastline which we drove by. To be more efficient we chose the highway when we wanted to get some kilometres done.
Bosnien-Herzegovina was a really pleasant surprise.
We crossed to Montenegro late one evening as we struggled to find wildcampingspots before the border. Just after the border, in the dark, we took a small side road and camped here. What a pleasant surprise to wake up here.Fredrik is cooking breakfast one cold (freezing) morning in the mountains of Montenegro. We now made it so far south that wild pomegranate is a thing! Sour, but delicious.Just beautiful.Fredrik photographing the view before driving down the 25 hairpin bends on the road down to Kotor, Montenegro.View of Kotor. The old city of Kotor were touristic but pleasant.Old city, Kotor. At the beautiful Lake Ohrid in Makedonia we really enjoy ourselves. We took an extra day there to celebrate Fredriks 25th birthday and it was just what we needed after many hour on the road for many days. The lake is millions of years old and therefore hold endemic species of fish, which is quite cool.
Fredrik’s 25th birthday we celebrated in Makedonia by the shores of Lake Ohrid. This was an amazing place and we took a whole day there to relax, run, swim and climb!

Vores Toyota Hilux, Dumbo, bruger snekæder i mudder i Iran.
